Energy Werx Continues to Support Energy Efficiency Upgrades with Greener Homes Loans

Saskatchewan, 04.10.2024 - Despite the conclusion of rebate programs, Energy Werx remains committed to assisting homeowners in Saskatchewan achieve energy efficiency through the Greener Homes Loans initiative. Homeowners are still eligible to receive up to $40,000 for qualifying energy upgrades.

The Greener Homes Loans program enables homeowners to make impactful energy upgrades to their properties while benefiting from financial assistance. Eligible upgrades include attic, exterior wall, and basement insulation, as well as the installation of energy-efficient windows, doors, and heat pump systems. Additionally, homeowners can invest in renewable energy systems such as solar panels.

To participate in the Greener Homes Loans program, homeowners must undergo a pre-retrofit evaluation, obtain quotes and estimates for eligible upgrades, complete the approved upgrades after loan approval, and undergo a post-retrofit evaluation. Upon completion, homeowners can submit receipts and invoices to receive the loan amount.
